Taryn Volbrecht - 14's Coach
Taryn was raised in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin and went to Badger High School where she was an all conference volleyball player. She attended Taylor University, Indiana where she played volleyball for four years and majored in Elementary Education. One year after graduating from college she returned to Taylor as an assistant coach and was also the head coach of the 18s team for Club Momentum. After her husband and her returned to Wisconsin, she coached the J.V. volleyball team at Williams Bay High School for two years and also coached for the Wisconsin Juniors Lakes Area Club. Most recently she took the position of Varsity coach at Wisconsin Lutheran High School and looks forward to her first year coaching for the Junior Viking Volleyball Club 14s team.
Jessica Alex - 13's Coach
Jessica was raised in Franklin, Wisconsin and attended Wisconsin Lutheran High School. She played volleyball for 4 years at WISCO. She also played club volleyball for Wisconsin Juniors throughout high school. After graduating, she moved down to Florida where she attended the University of North Florida in Jacksonville for her first two years of college. While there she played on a local club team as well. She moved back to Wisconsin this past June and goes to Marquette University. She is studying to become a Physician’s Assistant. This is her first year coaching for Jr. Vikings, and she is extremely excited to be coaching the 13s team!
Katie Blievernicht - 12's Coach
Katie (Rundel) Blievernicht will begin her 5th year at Junior Vikings Volleyball Club. Last year her 12’s team finished 2nd at the Badger Region Championships – the highest finish ever for a 12’s Junior Vikings team. For the past three years she has also coached the 7th and 8th graders at Bethlehem in Menomonee Falls. Katie began playing club when she was 13 years old and played throughout high school. She also played volleyball at Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School where her team won the State Championship two years in a row. She went on to play one year of volleyball as libero at Wisconsin Lutheran College before ending her playing career to focus on school and coaching. Katie was married in June of 2009 and works as an Event Manager and Professional Events and Consulting in Menomonee Falls.
Mandy Vandeberg - 11's Coach
Mandy grew up in Sussex, Wisconsin and has always been an avid volleyball fan. She attended Wisconsin Lutheran High School where she played volleyball for 4 years, and she played club volleyball at various clubs in the Milwaukee area from age 12 to 18. The highlight of her club career was taking 1st place in the J.O. National Championship tournament in 2001. She then attended Indiana University where she played volleyball as a middle hitter for four years and majored in Business Marketing. After graduating from college, Mandy returned to the Milwaukee area and took a job with Quad/Graphics, where she still works today. Mandy coached the Jr Vikings 11-red team last year and is looking forward to her second year with the Jr Vikings.
