Coaches Page

We are happy to announce that almost all of our coaches will be returning.  We truly do have a wonderful, talented coaching staff which we are very proud of.  We only hire those coaches who we know will work well with our kids.  We receive many compliments throughout the season from our own parents, refs, other coaches and directors, and parents from other clubs!

Coach Stef Romas will be back coaching our 14's team.  This will be Stef's 5th year coaching the 14's.  Stef has six years of club experience as a player.  She was a setter for Wisconsin Lutheran High School and Wisconsin Lutheran College.  Stef's honors include;  First Team All Conference in high school and college, Honorable Mention All State in high school, and  Rookie of the Year at WLC.  Stef gave up college play, to begin coaching at the high school level at Wisconsin Lutheran where  her teams did extremely well.  This year Stef began teaching 1st grade and has given up coaching high school due to the time commitment involved at her teaching position and is very excited to be back coaching club again!

Rachel Scheibe returns to us coaching the 13's team.  This will be Rachel's 5th year coaching the 13's for the JVVC.  Rachel also played at Wisconsin Lutheran High School and College where she was a middle  hitter.  Rachel has received honors as an All Conference player in both high school and college.  Rachel just finished her second season coaching the freshmen at Wisconsin Lutheran High School where she once again led her team to a first place finish in the highly competitive Little 10 Conference.  Rachel is a 3rd grade teacher at St. Marcus Lutheran School in Milwaukee.

Katie Rundel returns as our 12's coach.  This is Katie's 4th year coaching for the Jr. Vikings.  Katie also has six years of club experience as a player.  She played for Kettle Morraine Lutheran High School, where she helped lead her team to the State Championship both her junior and senior years.  Katie also played libero for WLC and helped her team to a 2nd place finish in their conference before heading off to school in Florida.  Katie works as an event planner, and coaches volleyball at Bethlehem Lutheran School.

Lisa Rouse and Emily Kleist our 11's coaches for the past 4 years are both in graduate school and are taking a break from coaching.  We fortunately  found a wonderful  new 11's coach...Leanna Miller!    Leanna attends Wisconsin Lutheran College where she is an Education major. Leanna just finished her first season playing  for WLC and also played for Wisconsin Lutheran High School.  Leanna has experience at various positions, and has played for two very good programs.  She will be a wonderful asset to our 11's program and we are very blessed to have her joining us.

All together our coaching staff brings at least 16 years of experience coaching at the club, grade school and/or high school levels.  They all have played different positions and are willing to run practices at the same time, so they can help players on our various teams with their skills at their positions.  We also try to run a few specialized practices during the year; one just for setters, just for hitters, and just for libero/defensive specialists.
